Comment Comment

For some reason I can't comment on that post. Any idea why? AND I can't change the background because I'm not the main person or something, so I'm just going to write my comment here. I think we should read 6 books, one from each category. Category suggestions are:

-Informational (aka non-fiction)
-Juvenile
-Classics
-Fiction (new-ish)
-Spiritual
-Self-Help

Here are my votes (based on your suggestions)

I am wondering if maybe we could assign people to pick the books for each category:
FOR EXAMPLE:
-Informational: Annie
-Juvenile: ME :)
-Classics: Katie
-Fiction (new-ish): Brynnie
-Spiritual: Em
-Self-Help: Annie

If you don't like that idea, here are my votes:
-Informational: Left to Tell (sounds amazing Annie), Let's Roll, or Eat, Pray, Love
-Juvenile: Enchantress From the Stars (sounds weird, but it is VERY good, and it'll intrigue you, it's one of my new favorites), The Book Theif, or The Goose Girl
-Classics: Pride and Prejudice, Cold Sassy Tree, My Antonia or Of Mice and Men
-New-ish Fiction: These is My Words, Home, Gilead...or any that you suggested there
-Spiritual: (Em, you rocked this sections so I say you pick)
-Self-Help: Love Languages or whatevs

There you have it!

Decision

Let's make some decisions.

First: how many books do you want to read in 2009? Then, we'll decide which ones.

Let's get is started, ha!

Alright peeps. After my Stratford book club brainstorm session last week, I got really excited to get our own Burton book club going for 2009! For those interested, at our girl's night after the Halloween party, we decided to start a little online book club for our Burton readers.

First step: figure out logistics. How many books do we want to read/review each year? 6? We could do one every other month, don't you think? Second: let's pick our books! I have some great suggestions and I'm sure you do too. So, let's get this party started!
